Our client is a government owned entity in the UAE who have experienced significant growth in recent years.

This role provides the opportunity to lead a brand-new department and set up a PMO from scratch. Candidates MUST have experience of leading large-scale multimillion-dollar IT portfolios.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive project management framework in collaboration with multiple business departments, including PMO standards and procedures for all project lifecycles and development methodologies
  • Plan and schedule project goals, milestones, deliverables and risk mitigation activities whilst also ensuring you avoid conflicts within the IT portfolio
  • Oversee IT operational effectiveness and functions related to technology business management, performance, contract management and complex billing
  • Report on project progress including advancements, challenges, risks, issues, mitigation and resolutions to C-Level and Senior Management
  • Extensive engagement with internal stakeholders to diplomatically challenge existing processes to promote new and agile ways of working

The successful applicant profile:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in IT or Engineering. Additional professional certifications in PMI, ITIL, Six Sigma etc highly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in managing large scale IT projects for multinational companies with a diverse workforce
  • Exceptional communication skills that you leverage to engage with staff at all levels, including the ability to break down complex technical language for non-technical audiences
  • Exposure to working with senior stakeholders and developing strategic partnerships with key providers
  • Experienced in workforce planning for large scale IT departments
